Hunger Walk September 26
|
On Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2:00 pm, the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County and CCCLJ will sponsor a countywide Hunger Walk. Participants may join with other Walkers in seven communities, including Five cities, Atascadero, Cambria, Los Osos, Morro Bay/Cayucos, Paso Robles, and San Luis Obispo.
The Food Bank Coalition, non-profit partners, and local congregations help feed about 40,000 San Luis Obispo County citizens each year. Some 40% are children, many are seniors on fixed incomes. Almost half of the families have at least one working adult. In today's economy, the need still grows.
